According to Websters Dictionary, the cummalative definition of Quarterspent is as follows:

quarterspent: (kwôrtr) n. 1. A coin equal to one fourth of the dollar of the United States and Canada. (spe^nt) v. 1. To use up; consume.

However, ask any youth in the Portland area and you might hear something like "that's a f%#king awesome punk band! They kick ass! When are they playing next?"
And maybe you ask why such an enthusiastic response? That's because their music is extremely infectious. Their songs which contain mostly punk beats also include a taste of ska, rock, and other crazy stuff that you've probably never heard before. They are jammed packed with edgy guitar lines, un-traditional pauses, and melodic choruses. Influences include NOFX, cky, Millincollin, MxPx, Lagwagon, Slick Shoes, and 311.

So you want to know some history, eh? The band began in 1998. Micah (drums), Jarrod (bass, vocals), and Shawn (guitar, vocals) took over an old barn and started creating songs, playing songs, and recording songs. In 2001 Shawn left the band due to a horrific seagull-related accident. The spot of guitar and vocals was soon filled by Zach. The three went back to the barn, renovated the old songs as well as writing new ones and prepared to record their latest EP to date. In 2002, Cory was added to the roster, thus completing this "f%#king awsome punk band!"

The band's shredding sound is most likely the reason they have landed shows with bands such as the Line and the Deviates (both of the Vans Warped Tour). It's also common to find Quarterspent playing in the Northwest with bands such as ThinkMcFly and the Greedies.
Micah beats his drums among other things. Jarrod is a master-bass-er. Zach loves playing guitar and drinking beers. Cory is a pro at fondling his guitar strings and can probably beat you up. Look forward to hearing more Quarterspent in the future, because they will most likely take over the world.
