The Thanking Wall

On Monday morning of Thanksgiving week,
Beth Sanchez was feeling festive and thankful.
She decided to spread her holiday cheer
by writing a Thanksgiving greeting on the Center board:
Happy Thanksgiving!
Then, she invited others to write on the board, too,
and to name the things they are thankful for.
It was Thanksgiving, after all, and the Humanities Center
is a place for writers.



For three days, we watched the messages multiply.
Students, faculty, staff--everyone wrote a message of thanks.



They came not only to write messages
but to draw pictures as well.



We are grateful, indeed, for all who visit
the Humanities Center.
