~*Howie's Caroline Dorough Lupus Fund*~

Once again I will start off saying this, dispite the fact that my site is about NICKOLAS GENE CARTER I have created a special page on Brian's Heart Foundation. Because of that I realized I forgot to include Howie's Caroline Dorough Foundation which is just as much of a worthy cause as Brian's. In fact every foundation that helps those in need is considered a very important issue.

NOW A SPECIAL NOTE FROM HOWIE HIMSELF:

"The outpouring of emotion and sympathy I have received from the fans and the media has been overwhelming. Caroline was only 37 when she lost her battle with the disease called Lupus. This disease effects the immune system, often striking young people like my sister, in their prime. I would request that instead of sending card and gifts in memory of my sister, a donation could be made to the fund I have established in her name. This donation would help towards the research of Lupus with hope a cure could be found, and no family would have to suffer a loss such as ours."

Caroline- I Give Charities Lend A Helping Hand

We were all saddened on that dark day on September 12, 1998 when Caroline Dorough passed on from a serious disease known as Lupus. It especially effected the Dorough family for they have lost someone very special. When Howie heard the news he was very upset and had to cancel the concert that day to be with his family. In many awards such as the Much Music Awards he dedicated his sucess and love to his sister. It was one the hardest times Howie had to face.

Lupus is a disease that can infect any part of the body: the liver, heart, brain, etc. It slowly destroys the body till it can no longer endure the abuse and dies. Lupus can effect Men, Women, and childern of any age at any time and there is no cure. Please support this cause so we may be able to find a cure to the dreadful disease and end this chapter of this dreadful story.
