Though my site is devoted to NICKOLAS GENE CARTER this page is dedicated to a very worthy cause. It is called the BRIAN HEART ENDOWMENT FOUNDATION which is a program created by Nick's best friend Brian Thomas Littrell. At a young age of five Brian discovered he had a heart murmur (he was born with a hole in his heart) and a infection grew. Sick in the hospital for months the doctors had little hope for his survival and had to break the news to his parents. They suggested that they go and went with the funeral arrangements. In the hospital since he was so young he was confused and terrified. But as if it was a miracle he started showing improvement until the infection was gone. HERE IN HIS OWN WORDS ARE HIS MEMORIES FROM THOSE TRAGIC DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL:
"It was awful being in the hospital all the time. I would lie still and had so many drips in my arm that they had to start using the veins in my feet. The doctors would literally beat my chest to break up the infection. I had to be held down and I would cry and scream. I didn't know what was going on, but I felt like I was going to die in that hospital."

When he was in the hospital his parents didn't really have the money to pay for Brian's medical bills which made times much worse. In the BRIAN HEART ENDOWMENT FOUNDATION it helps children who were born with heart murmurs and heart problems have a chance. A program on which children stay fit and involve in activities to keep a healthy heart. Those who can't afford surgery or treatment would be helped so they won't go through what Brian and his loved-ones had to bare so many years ago.
