SHILO'S POETRY PAGE

Hello, I'd like to Welcome you to my Poetry Page,
I've had a few of my poems published through the
years, so I've decided to include them in our site
I'm Shilo by the way, and I'm also Ashly's mother

Here is Ashley, little Ashly and me
Ashley is my stepdaughter and little
Ashly is mine. We have a great system
We yell Ashley's when we want them
both, and we call out their last name
when we want just need one of them.
It works, we don't get but which one?
and they can't play us for dummies
Oh!! you wanted me? I thought you
wanted Ashley, so Sorree...yea right

Standing on the Beach
Standing on the beach, with the wind blowing in my hair
I take a look at the the waves, and watch the formations flare
I take a look at the sunset, with threads of yellow and gold.
It takes my breath away, leaving me shivering with the cold

Underneath the stars

We danced underneath the stars, so high up above
and just like in my sweetest dream I fell in love
Underneath the moonlight was our very first kiss
but I knew as morning came, your kiss I would miss
Your sweet love and tender smile cast its spell on me
we vowed to love each other forever, for all eternity

Letting Go

It hurts to let go of someone you love,
maybe it'll be better, then again who knows
You feel so lonely and your days so blue
but isn't it better that to yourself you are true
Your hearts in pieces,and eyes full of tears
but you'll always have your memories
to last through the years

Friendship

You know I'll be there during good times and bad
I sometimes act without thinking but know I still care
So, When you're feeling down and need a friend
remember I am here and will be til the end!

This is a song, my 8 year old daughter, Ashly made up
for me, it makes me feel good inside because she knows
that we will always be together, and yet sad for she is
is a special needs child, with a rare disorder which the
future is not known...It touches my heart when she says
that she is my butterfly child, my precious fairy child

Butterfly Child

You are my life, and I love you
I will always be here for you, always with you
I will always care for you, always care about you
because you will always care for me, be with me
you will always be there for me, always with me
I will always be there with you, forever with you
always be there with me, you will never let me go
and I won't ever let you go, because you love me
you always hold me, will always care about me
you are special, forever my heart and I love you
for you are my heart, my life, and I love you
I will always be with you, always love you
for I'm your child, your Butterfly Child
