Shiba-L Roster Listing Requirements

All breeders offering puppies on the Shiba-L Roster page agree to the following:

1. No shiba that is sold whether puppy or adult is to be sold to a puppy mill, broker or any other "retail" sales outfit. Nor are they to be sold to anyone who sells or breeds for such operations.
2. Will be available to answer questions for the life of the shiba.
3. Will provide a contract of sale that is to the benefit of the buyer and the seller AND the shiba.
4. WILL assist if the dog cannot be kept.
5. Will screen all buyers in an effort to choose the approprate home for the shiba
6. Provide a list of suggested innoculations, training courses, and feeding schedules.
7. Require spay•neuter contracts and/or limited registration on all pet sales.
8. Educate the buyer about the advantages and disadvantages particular to shibas and to dogs in general.
