Agape Love Corner was founded in the summer of 2000. We strive for excellence in becoming a safe haven for America's young men and women, providing a Christ centered ministry. Agape Love Corner is a residential program designed to instill integrity and character through Christ in the lives of men and women.
Agape Love Corner purchased a product line on 02/05/01 to create a means for revenue; we thought it might be more appealing to create a way people of all walks of life could donate and receive something besides a tax credit. The product line created a way people could reach behind prison walls, to show love to those who feel left out.
By implementing the product line, we created the Triangle program; people could now buy an affordable gift for themselves or a family member and donate part of that gift purchase to someone in a distressful situation and help provide other locations all in one act of giving. However, this concept after reviewing, couldn't possibly have the success we were hoping for on a small scale; therefore, we hired a business consultant, in September of 2002 to help us reach a world wide customer base.
By hiring a business consultant, Agape began to see doors opening that seemed impossible. We can now go behind prison walls all over the country, allowing the spirit of God to shed light and give hope where there was once darkness and defeat.
Furthermore, through our Triangle program we can now make future plans of opening other locations throughout the United States; which will bi-enlarge be funded by people all over the country. This will allow us not to depend on Government programs to assist us in our ever changing efforts. We will continue to inform you on our company history, as we continue to make history.
Update-2006 Agape Love Corner was adopted by Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in 2005. Also, we have added a total of six (6) new counselors to counsel inmates at the County Jail.
We have also organized our Reentry program to include several collaborating agencies. Furthermore, Agape has included an investment program to create more of a solid foundation for our outreach programs. By adding the investment program we can now purchase financial instruments which will create a long term cash flow to support our programs, once our grant funding has exhausted. I am happy to see the blessings God has provided in this ministry. We will keep you posted on future changes.
Update-2007 The new owners of Scotts Wood & Wood Stone Apartments have provided a community center for the Outreach Ministry along with two apartments one to house three men and one to house three women. The community center blessing has allowed us to share with other organizations in the community, who have good ideas and programs to help people in a collaborative effort. I'm happy to say we have many new and exciting programs to bring to the residents of this community.
