This is the code I have used the background is "Lavender Brush", the text is "Dark Tan", the link is "Dodger Blue", the viewed link is "Deep Pink" and the active link is "Green".
When you click on the link the link will turn green by pressing the back button on your browser as you return to this page the link will now be Deep Pink. Try it out.
