After a few moments you catiously open the door quietly and look down the hall to see if it is safe for you to exit the room...
You gasp as to your right at the end of the hall you see Lord Dehmerest standing, his back turned to you...as you watch you see the Countesses arms slip round his neck and he picks her up and moves her up against a wall...he kisses her lips then his lips press down onto her neck, and her legs come up to curl round his waist...
You are shocked by this as only moments ago he was filled with what seemed like such intense anger...then you see the Countesses head turn and her eyes open...she sees you and you step quickly back into the room...
A few moments pass then suddenly the door opens, you jusp. Half expecting to be once more faced with he who you now fear...but it is the Countess who stands before you...
She reaches out to take your hand and unstantly you feel more relaxed. She speaks to you in a soft bit hurried voice...
'I am so sorry little one, I know what he did to you and I apologise... but please try and understand he feels he must protect me from the harsh reality, he thinks that all mortals who come here wish us harm and he believes he must stop that from happening...'
Suddenly you hear the lord's voice call down the hall as he seeks his lover once more, compelling her to join him in her chamber...
'I must go little one, but before I do I will give you a word of advise. I fyou ever come up against my love again, do not run, do not hide...stand firm and look him in the eye when he reaches you...it is fear he despises, if you do not fear him then he will simply allow you to stay, but if you fear him then prepeare to face his wrath...good bye and good luck.'
And with that she hurries off, calling beind her that if you close the door, on opening it you will find yourself stepping into the hall leading to the library once more...
Do you close the door...? 
Do you walk from the room following the path that the Countess has taken...?
