Goggles~~These are a must!! It is easy to loose your eyesight to one splash of lye. It is easier to avoid this by wearing your goggles.

Large bowl or measuring cup~~large enough to hold the water. The lye/water mix can get to 300 degree so this should be glass.

Goggles~~Have I said goggles enough!!

Large Pot~~to melt and mix oils in. This can be stainless steel,enamel

or glass.

Scale~~digital is good. Up to 4#'s.

2 Thermometers~~1 for the oil and 1 for the lye.

2 Spoons~~1 for the oil and 1 for lye.

A Mold~~Think cheap here. I got mine at the dollar store for $1.00. It should be big enough to hold all your soap.
