Also known as Brigit, Candlemas, Brigantia, Lupercus, Candelari & Disting.

This is the celebration of the banishing of the winter season.  Lavender and white candles are the best choice to burn.  This is a good time of year to to work in the house, for example change table cloths, curtins, room painting, fixing furnature.  It is the Sabbat that marks the coming of the spring.  A festival celebrating fertility and thigs yet to be born.  This is also a good time to restock your magickal cabinet.

Traditionaly this is the time of year to make a Brigit doll froma  sheaf from last years harvest.  Bundle so that the ears of grain make the hair.  Dress the doll in white.

This is also a good time to do divination.

Old Irish custom to say charm:
Early on Bride's morn
Shall the serpent come from the hold
I will not harm the serpent,
Nor will the serpent harm me
