Method of Extraction: Enfleurage (takes 30 roses to produce one drop of oil; 60000 roses
to produce one ounce); distillation (otto); solvent extraction (absolute). The oil is
extracted from the flowers and is a dark yellow to deep brownish colour with a warm,
floral, spicy aroma. The main method of extraction is enfleurage which yields a very
highly concentrated oil, with only a tiny drop being required for treatment.
Place of Origin: The finest oil comes from Bulgaria, but excellent oil also comes from the
area around Grasse (France) with a cheaper oil coming from North Africa (obtained by
solvent method).
Areas where this oil can help:
1. Female reproductive system. Uterus disorders, excessive menstrual flow, irregular
menstruation.
2. Skin care. Acts as skin astringent; tonic; helps eczema, wounds and cuts; bruises; dry
and inflamed skin; skin allergies.
3. Treats depression, sadness, grief, and PMS.
4. As an aphrodisiac.
Effects on mind:
- Has a profound effect on the emotions, alleviating grief, jealousy, resentment, stress
and tension.
- Makes a woman feel feminine and positive.
- May also benefit depression and anorexia.
Effects on body:
- Has remarkable effect on disorders of the female reproductive system.
- Cleanses, regulates and tones the womb. PMS and menopause will respond.
- Recommended for impotence, frigidity; aids conception, increases production of
semen.
- Excellent for skin care especially dry, mature or sensitive skin.
- Reduces broken thread veins.
- Can help with difficult cases of constipation where individuals are unable to let go.
