Method of Extraction: Solvent extraction (this produces jasmine absolute)
Place of origin: One of the most important plants for perfumery, it is cultivated in many
countries, the largest producer being Egypt. It is cultivated in Algeria, Morocco, France,
China, Egypt, Italy, and Turkey; the French oil being the most expensive. The oil is a
deep reddish-brown colour.
Areas where this oil can help:
1. Emotional problems
2. Has an affinity for the female reproductive system
3. Skin care
Effects on mind:
- Problems of the nervous system, lifting depression, inducing optimism, confidence and
euphoria.
- Useful for counteracting apathy and indifference.
Effects on body:
- Excellent for female problems where pain relief is required.
- Promotes the flow of breast milk and prevents the onset of post-natal depression.
- Renowned aphrodisiac. Jasmine can alleviate frigidity, impotence and premature
ejaculation.
- Beneficial for all skin types, jasmine is used for increasing the elasticity of the skin; for
reducing stretch marks and scars; also indicated for dry and sensitive skin.
Effects on spirit:
- Invaluable for the heart and solar plexus chakra.
- Excellent for stimulating the base chakra.
