Method of extraction: (solvent extraction) - derived from a resin and dissolved in ethyl glycol or preferably wood alcohol.
- an absolute is produced from the resin which is a reddish-brown colour with a "vanilla" aroma.
3 areas that benzoin helps:
1. Urinary tract problems (i.e. cystitis)
2. Respiratory disorders (colds, flu, asthma, bronchitis)
3. Skin problems, where there is redness, irritation, cracked or dry skin
(even for wounds)
Effects on the mind:
- warming, soothing and stimulating.
- brings comfort to sad, lonely, depressed and exhausted individuals.
Effects on the body:
- has the ability to simultaneously stimulate and sooth.
- very comforting for griping pains in the stomach.
- invaluable for respiratory problems (helping to get rid of mucus).
- also used for healing many types of skin lesions, from chapped, cracked
hands to chilblains.

- protects the spirit
- uplifting and invaluable for the heart and solar plexus.
