Hi! My name is Liz. I am originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia but I now live in the Niagara region of southern Ontario, Canada.

I am a full time "mom" to Michael, and housewife. I like to call myself a "domestic goddess." I picked that up from Roseanne.

Beadwork, crocheting, and my computer are my hobbies. I like all kinds of music, but I have a special fondness for the old rock n' roll tunes, classical, and country music. My favorite rock groups are Alice Cooper and the Guess Who. My fav country artists are Vince Gill and Trisha Yearwood. I like Mozart and I also like to meditate with the Gregorian Chant of the Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo De Silos.

I have a two year degree in Environmental Horticulture. I like to get out and putter around in the yard and tend to the rose bushes and other ornamental shrubs. I discovered that many plants and flowers that do not grow or thrive well in the south do very well here. Lilacs and Lily-of-the-Valley, for example. I also have an interest in herbology, homeopathy, and holistic medicine.

Before Michael and I came to Canada to live, I didn't watch much television. Since moving here, however, I have developed a liking for Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5. I have to admit, however, that I was a "Trekkie" way back when the original program was on. I suppose my fascination with futuristic space television programs is really a deep down hope for the future and the human race.

My very first webpage was:

Looking For A Dream

Looking For A Dream was created in the spring/early summer of 1998 and tells how I met my husband, Ron, on the Internet.

This is Michael, my son. Also known as "the resident dragon." Despite his un-flattering nickname, he is my pride and joy. He and I like to watch Star Trek:TNG, Deep Space 9, and the Beasties Transformers together. Occasionally I sit down and watch Pokemon and Digimon with him, but I didn't get into them as much as I did the Beasties. Michael is a home schooled kid with quite a bit of insight into philosophical concepts. He attended one of my philosophy classes with me a few years ago. The class discussion that day was on good and evil. To make a long story short, after we left class that day, he asked me if I considered littering to be an evil. While I was trying to formulate an answer, he come to the conclusion that God was a "cosmic litterbug" and that we, as humans, were like the convicts that pick up the trash on the side of the roads. Need I say more?

My son, My son...

Where have you been?

What have you done?

This is last year's football jersey. I took a picture of him with this year's jersey, and even though its a good picture, he wasn't smiling. In fact, he looked like he was putting on his snarling face like a good defensive tackle should. I like this picture because it shows not only his smile, but if you look close enough, you can see all the way to the bottom of his soul.

He's 18 years old now. And the plan is, that he will be going right out of graduation June 2007, and straight into the Canadian Armed forces. That's what he wants to do. Who am I to argue?
