A piece of wisdom found on a paper towel: "Friendship is the thread that ties one person to another, soul to soul."

This webpage is dedicated to my friends. Some of them I have known personally for years; and some of them, I have come to know over the Internet. They are all very special people to me.

"Cindy with April and Savannah"

"Cindy--Circa 1975"

My friendship with Cindy (the one in the red shirt) began way back in 1974. We were both students at Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Cindy married my brother David's first wife's brother. Therefore, we became "inlaws" so to speak. David and Sue got a divorce; Ronnie and Cindy got a divorce... me and Cindy stayed best friends. *GRIN* Then we became "outlaws." April is her oldest daughter and Savannah is her youngest daughter. Since the above picture was made, Cindy has, at long last, a son, Patrick who was born in 1996. Cindy has seen me go through many ordeals in the past and has stuck beside me like a Siamese Twin through thick and thin. Quick witted, Cindy is forever making me laugh and helping me to find the silver lining in every dark cloud. I could write a book on my friendship with Cindy, so I guess I'll stop here.

Charles Huff--Circa 1975

Charles is sort of a "new friend/old acquaintance." He is also former student of Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia and graduated the year before I did. Life's pathways took him from Georgia, too. Click on Charles' picture to visit his personal website about himself and his beautiful family. He also has another web project called Visual Arts Network ,which is a database for artists and those interested in the arts.

"Edie Alford-Thomas with Hope"

"Edie Alford--Circa 1975"

Edie is another alumi from Central Gwinnett High School. She was in my graduation class. I'm beginning to re-aquaint myself with old friends as a result of registering with Classmates.com. I remember Edie being one of the nicest people. Edie answered a posting that I made on the message board and we have sent several emails and messages back and forth. I'm really glad that we have found each other after all these years. She has a really nice website about her Alaskan Malamutes called "Wind Star." Click on the pic of Edie and Hope to see her gorgeous malamutes.

This is my Internet pal, Kathy. We met a couple of years ago in the now defunct, Virtual Places chat rooms. At the time, she was living in her hometown in Alabama and I was living in western North Carolina. She had moved to central Texas for a while, but has now returned home to Alabama.Over the last few years our friendship has continued to grow and now, Kathy is more like a sister to me. I suspect that we will be lifelong pals.

Kathy's webpage is:

TEXKAZZ'S HOMEPAGE

Kathy is a diehard George Strait fan.

"Cyrus"

Cyrus is one of the first of my Internet friends. I met him over 2 years ago as a result of a personals ad that I had placed on the Internet. In spite of the fact that we have never "chatted" in a chat room, we have discussed a wide range of topics, philosophies, and disciplines via emails. When I first met Cyrus, he was a graduate student at Laurentian University in Sudbury Ontario. Rather than our relationship taking a romantic turn, ours has become a close friendship. Cyrus became one of my most dedicated cheerleaders in my quest to find my soul mate and championed my cause when I uprooted and moved to Ontario to be with Ron. Not long after I came to Ontario, Cyrus moved to Windsor to finish up his studies as a geology major at the University of Windsor.

"Mare"

The story of how I met Marylyn is odd if not most peculiar. Marylyn was the driving force behind my taking up beadwork. Not long after I came to Ontario to become Ron's wife, he received an email response to his personals ad from Marylyn. Actually, Ron received about 5 or 6 responses after I got up here. Ron let me answer the email responses that came in. I wrote to Mare explaining the situation to her. I didn't really expect to get an answer back, but I did. Mare and I have been friends ever since. She has helped me to learn quite a bit about creating webpages and has pointed me in proper directions many times. Click on Marylyn's picture and it will take you to her main beading webpage.

"Liz and daughter, Tiffany"

This is a new Internet friend of mine, and as you can see, her name is Liz, too. I enjoy my chats with her and her mother-in-law, Laurie. Someday, I hope to add Laurie's picture here, too. Click on her picture, and it will take you to her webpage on adoption.
