Digital X-rays are used by Dr Gormley to assist in diagnosing various dental problems. For the past 6 years Dr Gormley has been using these in his office. They are quick and expose patients to much less radiation than the common film type of X-rays. So for safety reasons alone digital X-rays are beneficial. Other reasons to use these are the images can be seen on a computer screen and enlarged so you can see them too and we can discuss what you may need and why. Also, old film images can deteriorate while digital images are permanent and can be easily stored for years. We can take a full mouth digital X-ray in less than a minute without placing anything in your mouth.
