Show Report: The Horseshoe, Toronto
March 5, 1998

Now, first off, I didn't actually see this show first-hand. It was brodcast on a CBC radio special several months afterwards. I did, however, manage to tape it, and have listened to it in my car ever since. Also, this was their second show of the night, the first being the opening act for Great Big Sea in Kitchener, which I was there for, mostly to see the Nails. My girlfriend wanted to see Great Big Sea. I would review the Kitchener show at the Lyric, but my memory isn't so hot, so you'll have to settle for the Toronto review

This is the first Nails show I have heard where they didn't cover any Lowest of the Low songs. Which, to my surprise, isn't a bad thing. I attribute this to a) Ron having enough new material, and b) the abbreviated set, because it was their second show of the night, as I said before.

Anyhow, it was also a Canadian Music Week showcase show, and with a "Welcome to shmooze-ic week" greeting, the set began.

I can give a somewhat complete setlist for the show. The guys played:

- Taboo
- Suffer Me
- Crack Static
- Immutable
- Partners In Crime
- Convenient
- Venice
- Pokerface
- 3 Penny Operator
- Wrecking Wall
- Be My Alibi

If they did an encore, the radio show didn't broadcast it.

My hilights of the show:
- None really, I wasn't there. But I can listen to the show whenever I want to, which I think is the biggest hilight of them all.

Now, I saw a few more shows after this, but I didn't start the webpage up until around the Port Dover show. So a few show reviews are missing chronologically. Sue me!!
