September 11, 2005 - Added several new pictures. In "The Colony" section adde 15 photos, including one of the first Canyon Reunion, a school newspaper from the 1930s and 13 more photos of The Canyon in the 1930s. Courtesy of Tom Armstrong. These are the 15 photos at the bottom of the page. Also, added one photo by Joanne Beaudry of a Canyon Walk-a-thon, 1972. You can find this under "The People". Also identified Joanne as one of the people in the adjacent Canyon Schoolroom photo from the 1960s.

April 21, 2000 - Added three stories from the Hydro News to the Memories section. Also added RealAudio of the children of Abitibi Canyon singing The Blackfly Song. See Blackfly Song section.

March 27, 2000 - Added a new history of the Canyon under "Canyon What?" Also a link from there to Rudyard Kipling's poem, "Sons of Martha," the poem inscribed on the monument at the dam. If anyone knows who wrote the history of the Canyon just posted, let me know and I'll give them credit on that page.

March 14, 2000 - Added a photo of the Canyon taken after it was shut down. Click on "Abitibi Canyon" at top of screen where the purpose of the site is given.
