Snowman Fridgie (or pin!)
You will need:
Small amount of white yarn, some black and red for scarf
G hook
Large needle for weaving ends in.
Head:
Chain 2, 8 hdc in second chain from hook, join to first hdc, do not break.
Body:
Chain 4, sl st in second ch from hook and next 2 chains, sl st in the stitch to the left of the joining stitch from head. Make 12 dc in the very end of the chain, joining to the stitch on the right of the joining stitch on the head.
Arm:
Row 1. Join white to second dc from head on your Snowman's right side, ch 1 sc in same st as joining. Sc in next st, ch 1, turn.
Row 2 and 3. Sc in first and second st, ch 1, turn. At the end of row 3, do not chain. Turn
Row 4. Sc decrease over 2 stitches, finish off, weave in end.
Repeat Arm as above, starting in the third dc from the head and working toward the head on his left side.
Bottom Snowball:
Row 1. Chain 2, 10 hdc in second chain from hook, join to first hdc, ch 2.
Row 2. Hdc in same st as joining, 2 hdc in each stitch around, join to top of first hdc, finish off. Use the long tail to sew to the bottom of his body.
Outer Edging:
Join white yarn anywhere on your Snowman, ch 1 and sc in same stitch. Sc all the way around the snowman, do 2 sc in each of the stitches around his head and his bottom snowball. Do 3 sc in the ends of each arm. Finish off, weave in end.
Hat:
Row 1. With black, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 chains, ch 1, turn.
Row 2 and 3. Sc across row, chain 1, turn.
Brim. At the end of row 3, chain 2, sl st in second chain from hook, across bottom of hat, ch 2, sl st in second ch from hook, and and attach with a sl st in next st and finish off, weave in end.
Scarf:
With red, ch 30, pull last ch thru, cut each end about 1/2 inch from knot, fray ends to make fringe.
Details:
Use black to make French Knots for eyes and buttons, and back stitch with black for mouth. Use orange to make carrot nose. Tie the scarf around his neck. Sew his hat to the top of his head on a cute little angle. Glue magnet on the back.
