The Sixth Day

Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

The land of the Earth was filled with all the types of animals and they would only produce after their own kind, so a horse would never produce anything other than a horse kind of animal. Yes, there will be different types of horses produced, but still they will be a horse (like zebras, asses, etc.) .

Genesis 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Sin had not yet entered the world, so there was no death. All the living things eat the self-replicating green things. In Fact, a few years ago, it was proven in lab tests that copper head snakes that grew up in hyperbolic chambers were; Not poisonous and able to derive nutrients from green plants. The "meat eaters" were really vegetarians. You cannot tell what a dead animal eat by looking at it's teeth. Look the fruit bat, it has teeth similar to a T-rex's (only smaller), yet it eats fruit!

God was making a perfect world without death. Plants are not alive in the Biblical sense. The do not have the breath of life and they were made on day three, the "LIVING THINGS" were made on days five and six.
Also- plants are described as withering, (when they are pulled up) not dying, throughout the Bible.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

The humans were vegetarians as seen from the verse above.

Genesis 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

All of the animals were vegetarians as seen from the verse above.

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Notice that it was very good, Satan had not yet fallen and sin was not in the world. Death was not part of the cycle.
