-chapter seventeen

I leaned closer to him, he was breathing hard. "Getting tired?" I questioned him, knowing he couldn't, seeing the look on his face, I knew I couldn't resist his dark sexy look. The way his hair was shiny and soft as it fell past his dark blue eyes. His mouth, the way the lining of his lips was pointy and folded drove me crazy, he knew it did.

"I've managed before, haven't I?" He arched an eyebrow, smirking at me.

"Shut up you, I know your tired, you've been way over worked lately." I pushed on his chest and he knew I wasn't giving it up for another time tonight. I do believe three is enough to even drain me out. Don't you think? I smiled at him as he lifted himself off of me and laid on his side next to me. "Plus we have to get up early anyway, remember? We're going to the dance?" Did I tell you? It's about two weeks now, since Zac told Davey he loved her. They've been together non-stop, I can't blame them, but c'mon.

"Oh, shit, man, I forgot!" Taylor groaned, his head falling against my shoulder. "I'm too tired to get up and heave that stuff around."

"I know hun, that's why I'm going!"

"Your going to carry all that stuff into the gym, unload it, set it up and you think you won't get tired?" he laughed at him, his hair brushing my mouth. I nudged him off, gazing at him.

"You don't think I can handle it?" I was amazed, I was almost stronger then him, how can he say that?

"Now, I didn't say that."

"Wanna bet on it?"

"What are we betting?" he asked, laughing purely.

"Don't laugh," I said, sitting up and smirking at him, thinking, "I'm serious. I can handle this, trust me, I am stronger then you."

"No, no, I believe you."

"Do not, you don't think I can do this. I want to bet on it!"

"What are you going to bet?" He asked me, looking at my with a shocked reaction on his face.

"If I pull this off, you have to D.J the dance wearing one of evening dresses."

"Yeah right! And what if I win?" he questioned me.

"Well," I wondered to myself as I looked him over, imaging him in a dress. There was no way he'd win this. It's impossible. "I'll go to the dance in my fuzzy rob, wearing curlers, fluffy slippers..., and I'll even go with the school geek as my date!"

"Will not!" he giggled, shoving me.

"Don't think I will?" I asked him, daring him, as I arched my eyebrow.

"I won't let you. You need to do a dare as humiliating as mine."

"That's humiliating! What do you expect me to do? Go to the dance naked?" Oh! I shouldn't have said that. Nah, please, Tay would never let me do that.

"Not at the school, I can get Jessie in trouble for that..but, that's exactly what your going to do!"

"Excuse me?" I shrieked, my mouth dropping open in awe.

"You have to walk up to the McDonald's drive-thru and order a diet coke," he couldn't finish, I spoke up, interrupting him.

"Naked?"

"Yep. And the entire gang has to be there!"

"Gang? I'm not doing it in front of the school!" I shrieked, pushing his face away from me. He smiled, leaning over and running his lips over my tan, warm skin before looking me in the face.

"The guys! Ya know, Dee, Dave, Zac, Ike." he whispered, his lips brushing over my shoulder, his tongue grazing my skin as well. No way! I wanted to scream, I am not letting them see me naked.

"Fine. Deal." I told him.

"Kiss on it." he replied brushing his mouth against my, opening it to me. I signed, returning his kiss, roughly. This is not good.

December smiled, she was in her bedroom, listening to me talk to Taylor. She knew Taylor was going to lose this silly bet they just made, but she wasn't going to say anything. Wasn't her place. It was late, but she didn't care, she was too wreck-less to sleep. Sighing, she sat up in bed, swinging her legs over the edge, her feet touching the floor. Her room wasn't completely dark, she had her cute little star lamp on low, so she could see her picture. It was a picture of Taylor and I, along with Ike, Dave and Zac. This is my new family, she thought to herself, getting up and approaching the picture. She skimmed her fingertips over the faces of her friends, her fingers lingering over Isaac's face. He was incredibly gorgeous, the way his hair was curly cute and the way the light would shimmer off his eyes with sparkles of laughter and fun. He was so sweet and well mannered as well, he was the perfect guy. If only I could tell him that, her mind spoke to her as she held the picture close to her heart and approached her window. She could look outside, down the street, and see the bedroom light of Isaac's bedroom. His house was only a three minute walk away, and she knew he was still awake. If she held her breath and closed her eyes, she could hear him strumming on his guitar, humming new thoughts of love and happiness. She needed him. She wanted to be with him. She was going to tell him, she decided as she said good-bye to the picture, placing it on the window sill of the open window. She walked over to her full-length mirror and looked at herself. She was a full figure, nicely rounded and thinned in every right place. Her brown hair was pulled back in a messy pony-bun, wavy strands framing her face. Her eyes were sparkling with excitement and anxiousness as she looked over her appearance again. She looked cute, she had on a tiny spaghetti baby blue tiny top that stopped inches above her belly-button, on a curve. Her pants were a darker blue, with baby blue puppy paws scattered about. They were tied low on her belly, her shaped abs showing and looking intriguing to any visitor who's eyes dared to linger on her. Licking her lips, she stepped out of her room, she decided to go bare-foot through neighbor's front lawns. They wouldn't mind, would they? Nah, not if they knew where she was going. Breathe, she told herself, it doesn't matter what he thinks, your going to tell him! C'mon, breathe. She tip-toed out of house and across the first lawn. Here goes nothing.

Isaac sat, thinking, listening to the inspiring silence that linger amidst the dark shadows outside. He could hear the cracking of twigs, and he hummed a lyric which he knew fit his song as perfectly as any other word. The song was scratchy, but hey, it was coming along. He was actually trying to base it on distant romance, the way you feel when you look a girl, say, December, and know you can't have her because she's too good for you. He knew Dee wouldn't never look his way, she's so beautiful, so perfect. For him. Another set of twigs cracked, and he heard a gasp, causing him to jump. He knew it wasn't anything, and continued to try to concentrate on his song. Sighing, he knew it wasn't going to happen, so he stood up and walked toward his window that was cracked ajar. His mind was only on Dee, and he knew he couldn't stop himself of thinking about her, especially not when he was trying to write a song about her. He looked up the street, toward Taylor's house, where he knew December was. He knew exactly where her room was, he could watch her in her bedroom when she would leave the blinds up and the window open. He sighed, his gaze lingering up the side of the house, stopping on her window. It was shut, dark and the blinds were down. She most of been asleep already, he knew it, besides, he's up late anyway, no sane person is up this late.

"Isaac?" a voice called, a shadow moving from the yard next to him. He scanned it, seeing a figure appear in the street light. It was December, and as he looked at her, his breath caught in his throat. She was beautiful, the pajama's she wore, the way the brown strands of silky hair fell over her face, highlighting her eyes. She was beautiful. "Isaac? Are you there?" he watched her step into his yard, approaching the steps of his side porch.

"I'm here, just walk in, it's unlocked." he said, turning away from the window and dropping his guitar on the bed, tossing his lyrics on his desk and walking toward the doorway. She was there. She looked over him, standing up against the door frame. "You alright?" he asked her.

"Yeah." December wished, "We need to talk." she leaned close him, brushing her lips over his, feeling the intensity come back toward her as equally as she was giving it to him.

"I know." Ike replied, cupping her face with his hands and kissing her again.
