Alan Edwards

BISCHOFF IS FREAKIN' BACK!!! HELL YES!!! And look so is Alan, for his apparently monthly appearance. Time for HEAT, almost time for Vengeance. Steven Richards vs. Goldust will be our match of the night. Jericho tearing up Cena with the steel chair is the Slim Jim Snap of the Night. Lillian Garcia has a live interview with John Cena, and Cena says Jericho did beat him down again, and again, and again with the chair...but he never kept him down. He says he challenges Jericho to leave the chairs out of the ring tonight, and not only is he a rookie with ruthless aggression, but he is a rookie who will kick Jericho's ass. Cena does this cool little rewind thing, and repeats that last line again.

Highlights from Bischoff on WWE Confidential were shown. The wrestling world is getting better...slowly. Welcome back, Easy E. They showed KONNAN!!! They also talked about Eric's determination to be number one by giving away taped Raw results on Nitro, and other tricks Eric pulled. Eric said he can't apologize for these things, because he is very competitive, and when he was told to make WCW number one, he set his mind to it, and done what he had to do. Vince said seeing that they are now working together proves that neither one has an ego. Triple H is shown arriving at the stadium.

Steven Richards and Goldust come to the ring for their matchup. Steven shoulder blocks Goldust, knocking him to the ground. Goldust returns the same move, then a pair of arm drag takedowns. Steven pulls down a great reverse neckbreaker and a Steiner Recliner type submission. Goldust gets up and attempts to take advantage, but Stevie gets him into the corner and chops him. He goes for a running leg into Goldust's midsection, but Goldie moves just in time and Richards gets hung out to dry. Goldust, with an inverted atomic drop and short clothesline, gets the two count. Goldust puts on the hold for the Curtain Call, but Richards counters with a neckbreaker type move for two. Goldust blocks a superkick, then takes one on the chin. He kicks out of the Stevie Kick! Goldust pins Richards with a rollup and hooks the leg for the surprise three count! An average match, an average rating...2.5 stars.

One match, typical WWE pre-PPV HEAT...out of 10 stars, 5 for tonight. On with Vengeance...
