This tree had fallen over during an incredible wind storm. I'm standing on one side of the base of the tree. It stretches about 480 feet to my left on the ground. If you look to the bottom left of the picture you'll see a walkway has been put there and the railing is just at my waist when I'm standing on the ground. So, you can see how big the tree is compared to me. I'm about 30 feet up! The place that I am in is called Cathedral Grove & this is the place where some of the biggest trees in Canada grow. It's now a protected park & these trees will never be logged (cut down).

This is the Kennedy River & this part of it is a small section that starts to get rapid. The rocks are really slippery & being myself, the adventurous I-gotta-take-a-closer-look kinda guy, I nearly slipped & broke my neck! Nonetheless, I got the great shot!

What an incredible shot of the mountains. I can't believe how beautiful it is out there. I want to go back so bad. I think I'll move out there because who wouldn't want to see something astonishing every morning.
