Tricks, hints, tips, and codes for other games

--Pokémon over level 100:

To get some really cool, Pokémon talk to the man in

Viridian City that tells you how to catch Pokémon and tell

him you're not busy. Then immediately go and surf on the

eastern coast of Seafoam or Cinnabar Islands. You will encounter

Pokémon over level 100. (Note: If a Pokémon over level 100

receives experience, he will grow back to 100. also, you will encounter

two weird Pokémon called MISSINGNO. and "'M".

They will not hurt your game, but if you are really stupid, then don't catch them.

If you catch one of these Pokémon and level them with rare candies,

(Use the duplication trick listed below.) they

can grow up to 255 ONLY. Any higher, and they grow to zero. (Yes, ZERO!)

--Duplication Trick:

Move the item to be duplicated into the sixth position

of your item list. Now, use the trick that causes MISSINGNO. To

appear, and your item will become replicated many times over.

The duplication process will cause you to gain more than 99 of the item,

so the quantity will be a scrambled graphic. [The game cannot display “x 160”.]

(Note: Never duplicate items with no quantity, like the bike or

an HM. Also, duplicating expensive items and then reselling them

is a good idea.)

[Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions]

--Pokémon duplication trick [read before trying]:

To duplicate Pokémon, go to the box you want

to deposit the Pokémon to be duplicated in.

Now, deposit the to-be-duplicated Pokémon.

Go to "Change Box." Choose any box.

Now, as it says, "SAVING... DON'T TURN OFF THE

POWER," turn it off! Be sure to turn it off as it

starts to say DON'T. It might take a couple of

tries, but you'll get it right eventually.

To duplicate items, do the duplicating Pokémon

cheat, but attach the to-be-duplicated item on

any Pokémon. (And duplicate that Pokémon.)

On the title screen:

Press select, A, A, A, A, A, A, select, and then start to begin

a round of the Atari 2600 Pitfall game.

On the title screen:

Press select, X, select, Y, A, X, and then select to activate the level selector.

(Use L and R to skip through levels.)

When the “quit or continue” screen comes up, press B 3 times.

The extra continues should go to 9. You now have infinite

continues.

Super Mario Kart [Super Nintendo version]

To make a character small, press Y and A at the same time

while that character has "P1" or "P2" under it, but not

selected. This only works in Grand Prix mode.

Shells and banana peels can be launched backwards by holding down on the D-pad

when firing them.

To leap over a shell press L or R right before it hits you.

This rarely works, but when it does, it is very helpful.

To race the computer in Time Trial use the 2P controller

and on the character select screen use the control pad to choose

the computer character. The selector should say "Comp" if done correctly.

Now choose your character and begin.

[Note: You have to select the computer character before your character.]

On the 1P or 2P game screen,

to start off in the same world (not level) as you died, hold down

A while pressing START.

To get rich quick go to Hippo Zone after you

have beaten it. Enter the level and do not get in the bubble.

Jump in the water and swim to the left. You should find a block

that gives you 50 coins. Grab it and exit the level. Repeat over and

over in order to get tons of cash, making it possible to play high

level casino games and get tons of lives also!

Unlock: Luigi

To unlock Luigi, play Adventure mode

with any character. In the very first level (Mushroom

Kingdom), when you are about to cross the finish line

(past the flag), wait for the seconds' digit to reach

a 2. Example: 04:52<--This HAS to be a two:05

Once you have waited for the two, cross the line.

Normally, you would fight Mario and Peach. Instead, it

will show you a quick cinematic sequence in which Luigi

jumps on Mario's head and joins the battle. Beat this,

and keep playing as normal. (You get a whopping 20

points for beating Luigi.) Once you win, you MAY be

challenged by Luigi. If you are not, than go back and

fight him again. The second time around he wil

definitely appear for a challenge.

Unlock: Dr. Mario

To unlock Dr. Mario, beat Classic

mode with Mario at any difficulty any stock amount.

When you win (if you do), than Dr. Mario will challenge

you. Beat him, and he's playable.

Unlock: Marth

To unlock Marth, beat Classic mode with

all the 14 original characters. (Any difficulty, any stock amount)

Or, you could play VS. mode with all the original 14 characters.

(You have to use each one of them as a human character

at least once.)

Unlock: Roy

To unlock Roy, beat Classic mode at any

difficulty with any stock number with Marth.

Unlock: Young Link

To unlock Young Link, beat Classic mode

with at least 10 different characters, and 2 of these

must be Link and Zelda/Shiek. Or, you could beat

Classic mode with Ganondorf.

Unlock: Ganondorf

To unlock Ganondorf, beat Event match #29.

Unlock: Pichu

To unlock Pichu, beat Event match #37.

Unlock: Falco

To unlock Falco, beat 100-man Melee.

(100-man Melee is under 1P-mode, training, multi-man

melee.)

Unlock: Mr. Game and Watch

To unlock Mr. Game and Watch, beat Classic,

Adventure, or Target training mode with all other 24

characters. (This includes hidden and normal, and

Mewtwo.)

Unlock: Mewtwo

To unlock Mewtwo, play VS. mode for 20

hours.

Unlock: Purin

To unlock Purin, beat Classic mode with

any character, any difficulty, any stock count.

Stage Unlock: Brinstar Depths

To unlock Brinstar Depths as a stage,

play 50 matches in VS. mode. You will also get the

"Kraid" trophy.

Stage Unlock: Fourside

To unlock Fourside as a stage, play 100

matches in VS. mode. You will also get the "UFO"

trophy.

Stage Unlock: Big Blue

To unlock Big Blue as a stage, play 150

matches in VS. mode.

Stage Unlock: Poke Floats

To unlock Poke Floats as a stage, play 200

matches in VS. mode.

Stage Unlock: Subcon

To unlock Subcon as a stage, get the

Birdetta trophy.

Stage Unlock: Final Destination

To unlock Final Destination as a stage,

beat all 51 event matches.
