What Do You Mean 3deep's In Town???
This was basically our reaction upon finding out that 3deep was back in Vancouver filming a TV special. (When we found out when it airs, we'll let you know.) See, what happened was, on July 16, Jen was on her way up to Whistler for the weekend and passed by one of the local TV stations downtown. She saw a bunch of girls waiting in line to get in and stopped to ask what was going on. They were waiting to be a part of 3deep's hour-long special. She promptly called me to tell me about it but I couldn't make it down there until later on that evening. Apparently half an hour too late as well. But, 3deep was going to be back in studio to tape some VTV TV show that will air later on in the fall. So of course I line-up for it the next day. The new VTV show turns out to be a dance/entertainment show. Think Electric Circus (or Canadian Solid Gold for those of you without Much Music) with sit-down interviews. Had I known, I would've though twice about being in it. Anyways, with 3deep ssooooo close, it was too late for second thoughts.
I forgot to mention that we saw the guys get out of their limo and go into their station. Oddly enough, there was no screaming or shouting or anything when they showed up. So, of course, before they start filming they have to brief the audience on what's going to happen. And they also move people around on the set. 3deep opens up the show with "Into You" and guess what? I'm on the stage next to Eddie! So every time the camera shows Eddie, with the exception of close-ups --- and hey, I'm all for *those*--- you'll see me and a friend of mine! After they sing that song, they bring in some fashion stuff and this new girl that's on Baywatch. Then the guys come in for an interview with the girl host. Joshua did this really funny Austin Powers impression. After that comes this Brazilian dance group. Of course during all this they had to move everyone around to accommodate the segments so we got moved off the stage. But when it came time for 3deep to sing again, they got these other girls to go onto the stage! But they had to kick off some of the guys and so they chose us to go back! This time there was a break to set up so the guys of 3deep were just sitting in their seats on stage. Some of the "in-house" or whatever you'd call it, dancers and models were sitting at the foot of the stage in front of/at the foot of the guys. But that was OK because we were back beside Eddie again. =) Anyways, between setting up, I asked Eddie about skydiving. See, earlier that day, the guys went skydiving. I think it'll be shown in that one-hour special. Chris also cut his head then --- poor guy! They sang "Rain".
At the end of the show the show the whole audience on stage with the 3 hosts and 3deep and some other people. One of the dancers tried to get Eddie to join them when they were dancing on the floor in front of the stage but he wouldn't. They also tried to get Joshua but he said he couldn't because of his leg. Chris was chatting with the guest DJ at the time. So after filming finished and 3deep was getting off stage, these girls asked if they could get a picture with Chris but they didn't have their camera with them because it was in a purse and it was coat-checked. So Chris said that he'd try to get to them later on. He hopped off the stage and that's when I got to talk to him. He showed me his cut on his head. I brought up that we had met the last time he was in town at a restaurant (Curious? Confused? Want to know what happened?
Click here ) and he remembered Jen and I! His bodyguard was pulling him away so he said he'd be back later. But alas, we never saw him again. I found out from this crew guy that 3deep had left right away and through an attached restaurant. My friend and I had to be somewhere so we never knew what happened.Anyways, we had alot of fun at the taping, even though it was really hot and stuffy inside and at times I felt sick as a dog from what I assume is from bad McDonald's. We'll keep you posted as to when the TV special and the show air. Look for my friend and I to be standing beside Eddie! That is, when you're not too busy looking at him! Hmm...doesn't leave much time for anything else, does it? =)
