Our Family

We live in Michigan, near the Lansing area.
We have spent most of our lives in this area enjoying
the many seasons Michigan has to offer.
We have three children. Our son, Shane, is 22 and
our daughters, twins, Cheyenne and Courtney will be 17 this summer.

Near our home, our downtown is an island surrounded by the Grand River.
This picture shows the Island Park, one of the sister islands.

On Saturday, April 24th two young men, fishing in the waters of this picture, experienced problems which ultimately capsized their small fishing boat. Due to the river being extremely high and the falls creating tremendous turbulance, neither surivived. We pray for this family and that the bodies of their loved ones will soon be recovered from the Grand River. In Memory of Jason Clements & Corey Tripp Update..both bodies were found the last weekend of April a block from our home. They were identified as Jason Clements, age 26 and Corey Tripp, age 30. Our prayers are with both families and friends.

My husband, Karry is part Native American Indian. He enjoys
reading, nature & camping. We both previously worked with the
Dept. of Corrections, but are now medically retired. Karry
suffered a back injury from a prisoner requiring several
operations and I, under the stress of my position, experienced
two seperate heart attacks, eventually requiring quadruple
by-pass surgery.

Our family is involved in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
My husband is an officer and I handle various other tasks.
The twins, Cheyenne and Courtney are cadets who are
working towards their 3rd class petty officer promotion.
They attended "bootcamp" at New Recuit Training,
Great Lakes, Illinois last summer and also
Coast Guard training in St. Ignace, Michigan.

To find out more about this program designed for ages 11-18

In July, Cheyenne & Courtney returned for two weeks
of advanced training with the Coast Guard in St. Ignace,
Michigan. On July 19th, they flew from McGuire AFB in
New Jersey to Clementsport, Nova Scotia to train with
the Royal Canadian Navy. They are part of a small
group selected to serve as "goodwill ambassadors"
representing the United States, the U.S. Navy and
the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
They are now planning their training for this summer.
They enjoy cheerleading, basketball and softball as hobbies.

Our son, Shane, is still single, and
is a very talented artist.

He loves video games, sports, WWF (why, i dunno),
movies, and now he is into bowling.
He is hoping to meet the "girl of his dreams".
Shane attended college receiving a certificate
in Criminal Justice. He attended the Navy and was
honorably discharged in 1997. He decided last year
to get a tatoo of the prediator (from the movie)
and hope he takes my advice, that one is enough!!

Cheyenne

Attends the 11th grade. She wants
to work in the medical field or the
stock market after graduation. Cheyenne has devoted her
life to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. She spends many
weekends volunteering her time at Youth Haven Ranch in
Rives Junction ministering to young children.
She is the "medical yeoman" for the USS United States
Division attending to medical emergencies and sick call.
She likes music, especially NSYNC,
clothes, boys, sports, and probably
what most teens like..having FUN!

Twins Days in Twinsburg, Ohio is the world's largest annual gathering of twins.
Every August since 1976, twins, supertwins, and parents of same
from around the world descend on this small town just
south of Cleveland for a weekend of socializing, celebration and fun.

This year's festival will be held on August 6-7-8, 1999

Courtney

Also is in the 11th grade.
She has expressed interest
in the medical field also, but is unsure at
this time. Like her sister, she enjoys
many of the same activities. Courtney has
just starting writing poetry and has written several
beautiful poems. Most of all,
I think she likes "fighting" with Cheyenne.

Shane

Shane came home from the Navy in the fall of 1997.
He now is employed and moved out on his own.
Thank God!
He is an extremely talented artist, enjoys basketball,
and is always looking for that special lady
to share his life with. He has a great job
and a new truck which he "worships".

We believe in God, family and our country in that order.

Quanah Parker Chief of the Commanches Born to Cynthia Parker, an abducted white woman and Chief Noconas, the young warrior leader led the Kwahadi Commanche band in treacherous attacks against "white" intruders. After the surrender in 1875, Quanah became a shrewd, dynamic leader of the reservation. He died in 1911 and was buried next to his mother.
