Note: Nancy born in Cherokee Nation, Flint District Indian Territory.
Old Settler roll 1851 #105 Flint Dist Miller Roll-#8764, 1880 Authenticated Roll.  Nancy married LOUIS DUNBACK and later FRANK ZIEGLER. SAMUEL is listed  on some of the INDIAN ROLLS as "THADDEUS". I was told that  SAMUEL operated a Ferry across the ARKANSAS river and drowned in the the river. He is buried in the old SANDERS CEMETERY near SALLISAW creek East of VIAN. The CEMETERY is located in an old pasture. SAM does not have a headstone, just a flat rock near a pile of rocks. Dec 97 I found the old cellar at great grandma NANCY ZIEGLER'S old place located East of BRAGGS, East of the MUSKOGEE / CHEROKEE County line on the CHEROKEE side. North of their place about one mile on the West side of BIG GREENLEAF creek is where the old McCRACKEN CEMETERY was. It was just North of McCRACKEN FORD where the old road used to cross BIG GREENLEAF creek. I found a small grave surrounded by rocks that wasn't moved in 42 when the CEMETERY was relocated Southwest of TAHLEQUAH. The old McCRACKEN CEMETERY was named after a man by the name of COOP McCRACKEN. He had several hounds with which hunted fox and wolf with. I have a copy of a picture of him on a horse on the street at BRAGGS.

Note: Lewis Sanders was a U.S. DEPUTY MARSHALL in INDIAN TERRITORY before OKLAHOMA became a STATE. He was a farmer and had a farm East of BRAGGS, OK. He raised corn, Potatoes, cotton, fruit orchards and etc. He employed several people. I found his old cellar in Dec 96. The roof is gone and a tree is growing in the doorway by the steps, but the rock walls are still the way he built them years ago. See it in my Explorings pages.
