Belong to Columbus All Breed Training Club and Instructor for same for over 25 years. Belong to NEO Dog Club. Have Received obedience titles on Shetland Sheepdogs and Borzoi. Includes Am/Can UD on first Sheltie. Several CD's on Shelties and CDX's. In Borzoi, have gotten 6 CD's and 4 CDX's. Several Nickolai Borzoi owned by others, some under my instruction, have gotten CD's. One, "Doary" owned by Sandra Hilbert has her UDX - only the second in the country.
My training education has included apprentice training for CATC, Regularly attending Obedience seminars, and of course reading numerous books on dog training. A great deal of my education has come from the dogs themselves, and the owners of others dogs..
Training with Nickolai Kennel is "Results Oriented Training". It is not just to socialize your dog, but to make your dog reliable and fun to take places and to live with. Although training is Work, both your dog and you should enjoy it.
Classes Available: Private training, for dogs 2 months and older. $30 per hour, sessions can be set up any day of the week, and any time of the day that fits into yours and my schedule. Classes are generally scheduled for once a week, but are flexible. The number of classes is determined by you.
Basic obedience classes: Monday or Wednesday evening classes, started on alternating months. Example: January I start a Monday evening class, 6-7pm and February I start a Wednesday evening class, 6:30-7:30pm.
Classes are 7 weeks long, and you come to each class with your dog for an hour. The 7 week class costs $60.

Advanced obedience can be scheduled as private lessons, or on Thursday nites, either 6pm or 7pm (these classes are $10 for the hour). Classes are 1 hour long. Classes are paid for and scheduled one at a time.
Advanced training includes furthering your dogs training from beginners, such as helping you to get your dog reliable off leash, or can be used for anyone interested in showing their dog in obedience competition. I have experience training at all levels of competitive obedience (Novice, Open & Utility).
Conformation classes are available on Monday evenings 7:30 -8:30 pm, all Mondays of the year, except Holidays, for anyone interested in showing or learning to show their dog in conformation. No advance notice is required and class is available for puppies or adults. Class is $5 per person, regardless of how many dogs you bring for the hour. This class is both for new-comers to conformation or for experienced exhibitors needing socialization and show training for puppies or adults.
Agility Training is available, on Thursday nites or as private training other times as individually scheduled. There are different levels of training available, from beginners to competition. The dog must have a beginning level obedience training completed, to be eligible for Agility.
Most training is inside a 40' X 60' building, heated in the winter and cool in the summer. Well cushioned matting is on the floors.
