NEWS: Suzie did it! She got her first AKC title.
October 9 and 10th, 2004 at Hado-bar Farms at the
Greater Detroit Shetland Sheepdog Herding trial.
She finished her HT in two straight shows
and she looked pretty good doing it!
On 11/09/2002 Suzie passed her HIC, HCT(1), tests on her second time ever seeing sheep!
She did quite well for a dog that was a kennel dog
all her life. Now maybe on to that CGC and CD????? In a while....

This is the picture I got from Ellen just before I got Suzie.

6/2002: Second Opinion on Heart Murmur:...Nothing there.
I'll have Suzie Rechecked at the 2003 Clinic in Jan/Feb
and see if the same Vet who gave the First Opinion can find the murmur again.
Several of Suzie's relatives have been checked and are ALL clear....
Sounds like a bad 1st diagnosis and it can happen!
03/09/02: Suzie has just been heart checked
(like I do with all my dogs)
and has been found to have a grade 1 or 2
Aortic/subaortic/pulmonary heart murmur.
It is a congenital defect and ultrasound verification/determination for extent
of damage is recommended.
I will be further testing her
regarding this to find out if it is a fluke
or an indicator of a more serious nature.
My venture into smooths starts here.
