CONNECTING HEAVEN AND EARTH.

The higher the consciousness, the lower the resistance
to that which is unseen.
The lower the resistance to that which is unseen,
the higher the wisdom that may enter your consciousness.

COMMUNICATION HIGHWAYS

While it is true that there are as many ways to find a connection to your guides, and the entire world of spirit, as there are people who seek to do so, I will cover some of the most popular and productive ones here in these pages. Some of these methods I have tried and used personally. Other methods are gleaned from others and material that I have studied. Remember though, the best way to connect to the spiritual realm is the way that works best for you!

Also, let me say here that since all minds are connected with THE ONE CREATOR, it makes logical sense that we can find the gates to tap into all minds whether physical, spiritual, or extraterrestial, if that form of life does exist. It might come as a shock to you if I say that all channeling is really a form of channeling self, but not only your own mind as you might perceive these words to mean, but rather the Self that is connected to THE SOURCE of all. It has been said that to request the guides or angels is only a way for the mind to accept that which is from SOURCE in a way that comforts our intellect. In other words, what we receive from these "others" (what we create these others to be) is only that which comes from SOURCE inside of ourselves, but presented as a mediator by our psyche so that we can more readily accept the communication and information. For simplicity's sake, I will being referring to guides (you may say angels if you prefer) as the contact point here, but bear in mind that it may be your own oversoul which is connected to infinite wisdom. What the real deal is concerning channeling is in much dispute, but regardless I have found it a fountain for great insight and comfort for many. If the material is good, wholesome, elevating, enlightening, and beyond our limited knowledge, do the technicalities matter? That is a question you must answer for yourself.

YOU ARE INVITED...

Before we get started with methods, lets discuss the fact that it is always nice to send an invitation to those who you wish to attend any function. This applies to your guides and other spiritual entities. Send all of the higher realms an invitation to join you in your efforts to channel, and target your invite to the ones who may best help you with what it is you are seeking to learn or do via channeling.

In making your invitation, you will need to consider what it is you wish from a guide. Write down a list of usong these considerations as guidelines:

A) What do you want to learn? (a skill, higher wisdoms, anything to help physical life, spiritual knowledge, healing, etc…?)

B) What qualities do you seek in a guide? (humor, honest, patient, medical knowledge, musical knowledge, etc…?)

C) What is the type of relationship that it is that you seek? (Random contact, continual contact, verbal, visual, energetic, more a peer than mentor, more mentor than peer, etc…?)

Now that you have a list to help develop the ideology of what it is you seek in your channeling relationship, use this to "write" your invitation. Use this invitation with all methods that you decide to use when trying to establish a connection to the higher realms. Voice it aloud for the first few times. Always voice it mentally until the connection is well established and you feel you have the desired "guests" in attendance.

METHODS

MEDITATION

Meditation is the act of stilling the mind enough to allow the finer, subtler energies to penetrate through the mind chatter. Our normal waking consciousness is so use to thinking about every bit of stimuli, that we often fill our minds with what could be compared to the babble of many waters. We must learn to let go of thoughts that do not relate to what we are seeking to experience when trying to connect through the art of meditation. >p> There are many forms of meditation. You may find how-to information on myriad of ways to meditate in books, so we will not discuss the actual meditation process here. What we are more concerned with is what happens once you are in the meditative state. Our goal is to connect with the celestial/spiritual forces, and we shall work with a few things to ensure a better success with this goal.

First and foremost, I would say that the invitation to your guides or angelic forces is the imperative step that must be stressed here. Invite them to join you while in a meditative state. Ask them to work with you on getting a form of message that you will understand, and one that you will feel certain was from outside of yourself. If they know that you are inviting them to do so, they will work very hard to accommodate your request. Remember also that this is an ongoing process. It may (and usually does) take awhile for the connection conduits to be forged from their energies to yours. No skill is learned immediately, and thus you may have to sit in expectation for many sessions to realize the visitors that you have invited. Journal all thoughts and impression from each session. Over a period of time the bits and pieces may fall into to place and allow you to see a pattern to the information received.

It is my personal thoughts that to work with meditation most often works well for visual contacts. In other words, I think this is the preferred method if your innate ability is clairvoyance. Meditation is conducive to the forms of clairsentience also, and there can well be clairaudient connections as well, but the majority of persons meditating that I have spoken to seem to "see" or "know" the information given to them. If your innate ability is well developed, the method matters not. If you are a beginner, the method may matter only in the time that it will take to more fully develop it.

Lastly, working with meditation everyday, or as often as you can, strengthens your skills and allows the process to continue to build. Extend your invitation to the higher realms each time you begin the meditation. Work with the faith that as you reach upward, there are those who are extending a "hand" downward to you. Having the expectation of success is one of the surest ways to create success, since it is our thoughts that control our reality. If you see yourself surrounded by divine guidance, the thought alone ensures that your spiritual helpers are summonsed to your aid.

Have a friend give you a question to meditate on for them. Make it a question that you are certain that you do not know the answer to. Record any impressions, visuals, sounds, etc… that you may experience. Journal this for you and your friend. Have the friend keep the results and see if there is any validity to it from a vantage point of a later date. The idea behind this is to ascertain that you are gleaning some information that is beyond your personal knowing. The more this happens, the more encouraged you are to keep going. All "tricks" that you can figure to re-enforce your desire to keep going will make the connection process easier, no matter what method you are utiliziling.

AUTOMATIC WRITING

From my personal experience, this skill seemed very conducive to developing my clairaudient skills. Automatic writing is allowing the pencil to move by itself to form words. The idea here is that to receive the information, you must receive it in a verbal format. I have heard of automatic drawing as well in which the person holding the pencil was lead to draw a picture which may or may not contain an identifiable message. However, I will leave that be for the moment and deal solely with the skill of receiving words. If you are receiving words, then it is a natural follow through that the message is being placed in the realm of verbal communication. This is why it seems so natural to clairaudient abilities.

The state of mind that one must use to allow the relaxation sufficient to automatic writing (or inspirational writing) is also close to meditation. The consciousness to the outer stimuli around you must be softened and unfocused. You must be in the state very similar to day dreaming. Once the mind is relaxed and the attention span to outer stimuli derailed, so to speak, place the pencil on a piece of paper. Let the hand relax and the mind drift. Ask that your spiritual helpers use your hand to convey their thoughts to you. It might even be a good idea to ask a question on a matter that you do not know the answer to, but can verify at a later time. Let the energy in your hand build, but do not move the hand yourself. Focus your attention on the feeling in your hand, without disrupting the relaxation level that you need.

When the pencil does begin to move, which may feel like a quivering at the first hint of movement, try not to let this break your meditative-like state. Distance yourself from the doings of the pencil. Let it do as it will without you losing your vow not to control it. It is highly unlikely that the pencil will write legible words the first few times. It will most probably make scrolls, squiggles and attempts at letters. Keep the faith at this point. What are words on paper except scrolls and squiggles? This is an excellent sign to keep working with this mode of communication until the pencil begins to write in a more legible way. I have notebooks from my earliest attempts and they are impossible for anyone besides myself to read. I even have a hard time reading every word, but the general idea is found if one knows what it said in the first place.

Often, (as in my personal case) as you work with this process, day in and day out, you will find that you will know what is going to be written before it is finished. Listen carefully to these thoughts inside your head. It was through listening to what was being given me before it was written that I learned that I could "hear" what my guides were trying to convey through the written form. When you begin to receive the words in your head as you write them, you realize that this is a much faster way to communicate, and you begin to wean yourself to not need the paper for verification. This too is a skill that takes much practice, but it WELL worth the endeavor.

Always keep your notebooks, no matter how trivial or jibberish the content seems at first. It is not only fun and encouraging to go back and see how far you have come, but I have found some passages where my guides told me something that did not come to pass for up to two years after they had first given me the words about it in written form. Another good thing to do is have a friend ask you questions while you are holding the pencil and see what guidance may be given. This is a way for you to see that information you did not know was given. Have the questions be something that only the person asking may verify. Keep this copy for yourself, but make a list of the guidance for your friend. It is a real blast to have the written proof of something that may not come to pass for many a month or year!
