The earth shook
And the Angels cried
As they looked below
At the devestating site


Little did we know
As we awoke from our sleep
What a hurendous sight
That our eyes would meet


And then we felt deep within
A sadness that touched our soul
and then we heard
The angels cry again


Tears touched the eyes
of America's child
As realty touched thier hearts
Then the Angels cried again.


How could this happen
and who knows why
That terrorist could
Make the Angels cry


When the Angels cried
it was so sad
It broke the hearts
Of many a man


Innocent fell that very day
Mommys and Daddys
and even babe's
and the Angels cried again


Now men have pulled together
From countries all around
Joining as one
To bring the terrorist down
and the Angels cried


We thought this was right
We thought it wasn't wrong
But how come when we decided this
All the angels went home


Every man woman and child
Felt the emptiness from within
and the depth of our loss
as we buried friends and kin


We thought we were alone
But God had other plans
The Angels only went to Him
To learn of his will


Our life is ever changing
Many of us may die
But God brought back the Angels
To wipe the tears from our eyes


Not knowing what would happen
But feeling more at peace
Man was able to move on
To help set the world free


For our Father
From the Heavens up above
Has blessed our purpose
and will guide us with His love


Now all the Angels are singing
and walking by our side
and if sometime you feel the need
and really have to cry


Take the hand of an Angel
and he will dry your tears
Then walk along Gods side
and He'll chase away your fears.
