"The 204"
This Savage model 12 in 204 Ruger has been recently added to the collection and is undergoing accuracy testing. The rifle features the new Accu trigger system, which I have found to be the easiest adjustable trigger on the market. The original stock was flex stoned to give it texture untill another stock can be made for it. It's topped with Millet 2pc base and rings and a Buck Ridge 6x24 scope. Accuracy with factory Hornady loads is at or slightly below 1/2" MOA @ 100 yards. Once the factory ammo is shot up and the barrel seasoned, handloading will begin. This will hopefully bring the group size down to our desired 1/4" mark. The 204 was put through an all day torture test in the groundhog fields and did outstanding. Accuracy gets better every round that goes thru it. All 100 rounds are nearly shot up and handloading should start soon.
