Early career

Saito moved to the Midwest during his high school years and began training at Jon Z's wrestling camp in mid 2002 after his graduation, and made his professional debut in early 2003. He made the rounds working various Midwest indy promotions until later that year, when Jon got together with Nykk and Ronin Fox to create Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling. Johnson was brought in September, when he made his debut for the company.

Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling/Renegade Championship Wrestling (2003-2005)

On the very first episode of Foundation in September 2003, Saito made his debut. He confronted Joey Sprinklers over the apparent deportation of Concession Boy, who he claimed was his student. Identified as Concession Boy Sr., he challenged Sprinklers to a match, but Joey handed off the bout to his stablemate Dusty Schneble instead. Sr. would lose the match thanks to Joey's interference. They would continue their feud until early 2004, when Sr. was put out of action with a concussion. In his absence, another Concession Boy, Concession Boy III, was brought in. When Sr. returned to action, they began teaming on a regular basis as The Concession Boyz.

They entered the Ohio Tag Team Championship Tournament and defeated Los Villanos in the first round. But a loss to Johnny Kashmere and Chris Stylez in the next round dropped them into the lower brackets, where they came up short in a subsequent Triple Threat Match against The Eccentrics and the team of Cynric and Silver King, eliminating them from the tournament. The Concession Boyz continued tagging in the months that followed, as well as being responsible for selling all the merchandise at live events. On the June 22 episode of Foundation, CBIII was helped to a win by a random woman, who immediately started selling t-shirts to ringside fans. This turned out to be Concession Girl from Rio de Janeiro, who became the South American representative in the stable now named Merchandising Inc. They made their in-ring debut as a trio on July 20, defeating Los Villanos and Jade in a six-person mixed tag match.

In early 2005, the now renamed Renegade Championship Wrestling was having financial problems, and Jon Z disappeared from the scene, supposedly with all the money, and the promotion went dark. The employees of RCW would get back together for one last hurrah at WrestlingRevolution II on May 15, where the Concession Boyz became the final RCW Tag Team Champions when they defeated The Pyro Twins.

Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2006)

The David Caldwell Project

Saito was eventually signed to MECCA, where he competed under his real name on the May 10, 2006, episode of Go Time, losing to The Human Tornado. He would return the next week at the side of his new tag team partner, Jamie Chan, as they saved David Caldwell on the set of his talk segment after he provoked Joey Sprinklers into attacking him. Caldwell introduced them as his new bodyguards, and revealed their name as Stage One of his David Caldwell Project. Stage One would go on a winning streak, while helping Caldwell gain more power at the same time. They earned a shot at the MECCA Tag Team Championship at Liberty or Death, but came up short against champions The Pyro Twins.

They began a feud with The Surgeons after losing to them in their debut match. They met the Surgeons and The CDT in a Triangle Match at At Your Own Risk and got the win after the CDT joined the David Caldwell Project and helped Stage One get the win. Saito dropped several matches after that, culminating in a loss for Stage One to the Surgeons at No Regrets in an Anything Goes Match. Upset with Saito's failures, Caldwell and the David Caldwell Project turned against him on the next episode of Go Time, kicking him out of the group. Shortly thereafter, Saito left MECCA and the wrestling business altogether.
