Lightning Parade

Out in the Storm on a humid summer night.
Animals running scared, from the flashing light.
A girl runs out into the rain.
It rushes down, sounding like a train.
She stands there undaunted,
By the crashing thunder.
People driving by see her and begin to wonder....
Why does this girl stand in the storm?
She is drenched and silent,
Looking forlorn.
It appears she lives out in this trechery,
They gasp as she climbs up a tree.
In the next lightning flash,
She is gone
The field is large,
And very long.
But yet this girl cannot be found...
Not even an indentation on the ground.
The Children of the Storm are never afraid.
You can see them walk in the lightning parade.
