A friend is someone unique,
Not someone you meet on the street.
When in need a friend is there,
To lend an ear and say "I care"
A friend does not walk out in two weeks time,
Or tries to get you to change your mind.
If you have a hope, they cheer you on
And do not leave you when the glory is gone.
A friend may laugh at you,
Yet only in fun.
A friend can love you more than anyone.
If you need someone to laugh with,
This a friend will surely fit.
I have noticed that you have brought me luck,
Even when I was stuck.
I have never had to doubt,
A single thing you said:
And nothing you could ever do, would fill my heart with dread.
Every time I talk to you,
You brighten up my day
Because of this, I send you a poem
Just to say....
Until I dissolve off of this Earth,
Lose my faith,
Or forget my worth:
You will always be
The bearer of love inside of me.
