Chapter 14

“Christina. It’s time to get up.” You hear Isaac calling your name and you slowly open your eyes.

“What time is it?” You mutter while rubbingn sleep from your eyes.

“It’s almost one o’clock,” he replies to your question, “did you get a lot of sleep last night?”

“Actually, yeah I did. But I had a weird dream Isaac. I dreamt my Mom had kidnapped me. I was so scared.”

“Wow. Sounds like you have had a lot on your mind lately.” He leans over to kiss your cheek and you smile.

“Do you think you could take me somewhere today?”

“Sure, just name it.”

“Well...” you stand up and walk over to your bag and pick up a yellow piece of paper. Smiling, you turn to Isaac and hand him the paper.

“You mean you called him last night? That’s great!” He wraps his arms around you. “I’m so proud of you!”

“Thanks, but Isaac, I can’t go alone. I need you with me. I’m not strong enough to do this alone. And I’m still really scared.” You peer into his deep brown eyes.

He reaches his hand out and takes hold of yours, “You know I’ll be there, every step of the way.” He caresses your hand.

“Thank you,” you step forward and kiss his soft lips, “just give me a few minutes to get ready,” you whisper.
