Chapter 26
“Hello! You must be Christina. Nice to meet you. I’m Isaac’s mother Diana.” She
extends a hand out to you for handshake.
“Yes, I am. Nice to meet you Mrs. Hanson.” You place your hand in hers.
“Please, call me Diana. And this is my husband Walker.”
“Hi, nice to meet you.” You tell him with a smile and he smiles back.
“Mommy, who is that?” You hear a little whisper from back farther in the Room.
You look around and see a little towhead boy come wandering out of the hallway. He
walks forward a pauses just behind Isaac’s leg and peers around to get a look at you,
almost like he is hiding himself from you.
Isaac reaches around and picks him up. “This is Christina, Mackie.”
“Hi Christina. I am Mackie. Do you like to play with toys?” He asks and then
bury’s his face against Isaac’s shoulder.
You give him a smile and tell him that yes you do enjoy playing with toys.
“Do you want come and look at some of mine up in my room?” He says as Isaac
sets him back down on the floor.
“Hmmm.... let me see.... I think I would like that very much. That is, if that’s okay
with your brother?” You look up at Isaac and give him a smile.
“It’s all right with me. As long as I get her back.” He tells his little brother as he
tossles Mackie’s hair. “I’ll be down here in the kitchen helping Mom for a little bit. Have
fun.”
“Okay. Take me to the toys!” You exclaim and Mackie grabs your hand and
practically drags you upstairs.
