Chapter 11

"It's not broken," the doctor tells everyone in your 'party,' " but she should take it easy for a few days. I gave her some crutches. She is only to use them when she needs to do a great deal of walking. Otherwise, I'd like for her to put little pressure on the ankle and not walk on it too much for awhile."

"Sorry," you say to Mr. and Mrs. James. You know how much they wanted to go sight seeing and feel like you have basically ruined the trip for them.

"Oh honey, that's fine. We’ll stay another week if we have to. Just as long as you are okay." Mrs. James tells you.

"Mrs. James, could I take Christina outside and talk to her?" Isaac asks her shyly.

"Yes, you can."

You go to get up out of the wheel chair, but Isaac informs you to sit back down. He will wheel you outside.

Once outside, you can notice the temperature has really fallen. You don't have a jacket, and you are freezing. Isaac notices that you are shivering, so he takes his jacket off and gently wraps it around your quivering shoulders. It feels so good against your cold skin and the smell of his cologne is on it.

"I sure am glad you are okay," Isaac tells you with apologetic eyes.

"So am I. Thank you for being there to help."

"I didn't do too much. It was just kind of hard for me to leave you back there." He tells you as he stares at his feet.

"Gosh, isn't the sky beautiful tonight? You can see the moon over there. It’s bright tonight." As you are finishing your sentence, Isaac pulls your wheel chair over closer to his seat on the bench. It feels so good being close to him.

"It sure is. But not near as beautiful as you look." As he is saying this, he looks deep into your eyes.

You can't resist that look in his eyes. Isaac picks your right hand up and holds it tightly in his, as to show you, he never wants to let you go. But quickly the mood is broken by Taylor coming out to tell the two of you that Mr. James is ready to leave. Interrupted again, you head back inside and Isaac helps you up and out of the wheel chair. While you are balancing your self on your crutches, Isaac is asking Mrs. James if it's all right if he drives you back to the hotel and she sees the twinkle in his eyes as to let her know how much he really wants to do this deed. She let's him.

"But don't stay out too long," she advises you and Isaac.

Taylor and Devon hop in the back and Isaac helps you get settled in the car. Then Isaac takes you for a quick spin around town. The fun is over fast when you see the hotel up ahead and Isaac pulls up and parks outside.

Taylor and Devon get out of the car. Taylor is going to walk her to her room, Isaac tells Taylor that the two of you will be up in a few minutes. Taylor, quickly catching on to his brothers seriousness, agrees and goes inside with Devon.
