"Well, I hope our next meeting won't be as dangerous," Isaac says with a little chuckle as he takes hold of you left hand with his right.
"Yeah, I agree. Tonight was a little rocky. I’m sorry I kept you at the ER all night." You tell Isaac as you gaze into his mysterious brown eyes.
Without answering your apology, he moves his left hand up on the side of your face. He lightly brushes your check with it and then moves his hand to your chin, directing your lips to his. Both of you closing your eyes. You move in for his kiss. His lips are smooth and soothing against yours. You quickly return his kiss. Then lightly pull away and smile then you open your eyes to see him looking at you with a smile too.
"I better be getting up to the room," you tell him with sympathy. You really want to stay longer, but you know you must obey Mrs. James, since she is technically your guardian while you are with her.
You go to slip his jacket off, but he insists you keep it. His hand is still holding yours and he picks your hand up and kisses it lightly. Then he lets go and steps out of the car. He walks around to the other side and helps you out.
Still not all that great on those crutches, he helps you to the door and then to the elevator. He doesn't speak much on the journey to your room, for he looks awfully upset at leaving your side. This makes you feel heart-broken. Almost like it is impossible to leave him. The elevator doors open on the third floor and he, again, helps you out. Your room is all the way on the end of the hall. Bue for some reason, time goes by so fast. You are standing outside your door and he takes hold of your hand again and whispers "Good Night" in your ear. You just collapse in his arms and listen to the rhythm of his heart, beat through his shirt. He wraps his arms around your waist and holds you against him. A tear starts in your right eye. You in your mind know it's from having to leave him, but you tell him your ankle is starting to hurt again and you better get inside. So, with you still leaning against him, he knocks on the door so Devon will let you in. As soon as Devon comes to the door, he gives your hand one last squeeze and you tell him good night. After the door is closed and Taylor and Isaac have left, you go to bed. But it is very hard to sleep. You are up half the night, not because of your ankle, but because you keep thinking of that kiss.
