Welcome into our home
and welcome into our hearts
for this is the place
Where our Christmas starts
The children are excited
The list to Santa was made
Some cookies are baking
and some have been ate
The house is decorated
in a mixed matched way
With little hands doing all they can
To be sure it is done their way
Stockings are hung in anticapation
by eager little hands
and happy little faces
with the hope of what tomorrow will bring
Well now the cookies are done
and the candy's been made
Last minute shopping is over
and we just have to wait
The kids are all bathed
and in pajamas for bed
rubbing their eyes
the little sleepy heads
One by one a gentle hug
and a sugar sweet kiss
tired little eyes and shuffeling feet
Up to their beds and fast asleep
As you look around you will see
that Santa put the presants under the tree
and the stockings are full to the tippy top
with Christmas goodies, treats, and such
Now it's time to say good night
As I look back on this Christmas site
Perfect wrapping and perfect bows
Stockings full from top to toe
In the morning in the early light
there will be shuffeling feet and busy hands
There will be ripping paper and popping off bows
and the laughter and giggles that I love so
Now Christmas eve has come to a close
Got on my jammies and got on my robe
Went to my room, and fell across my bed
Wanting to sleep, but hearing noises instead
I silently walked back to the room
To my surprise, Christmas was in full bloom
Shuffeling feet and tiny hands
ripping paper and popping bows
and the laughter and the giggles that I love so
Christmas has arrived
The day has begun
