Culture Shock -Part 4-
"You do that well," Aaron said laughing as he and Miranda walked like Egyptians through the Hall of Mummies.kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com ~ kindagetmego.com"Well, I had lots of practice. My mom was a major Bangles fan. They did that 'Walk Like An Egyptian' song. I was pretty much raised on them," Miranda stated matter-of-factly as she peered through a glass case at some ancient pottery.
"That's cool! My parents like classic rock. I grew up on Journey, Kansas, Chicago, Boston, all those older bands," he said standing next to her. Reaching out, he slapped her on the arm. "Tag! You're it!"
Miranda watched him sprint into the next room. "You didn't just do that!"
"I got you!" Miranda followed Aaron into the room with the dinosaur display.
"No, you didn't! I was like this far away," Aaron exclaimed holding his hands far apart from each other.
"You wish, Blondie! I so tagged you," Miranda countered as Aaron looked around the room in astonishment.
"Wow!" Aaron took a deep breath as he looked at the huge animal skeletons in awe.
"They're pretty amazing, aren't they?"
"Hey! Come 'ere!" Aaron pulled his new friend over to the Triceratops. "I dare you to stick your head in its mouth."
"What?" She said laughing. "No way. You do it!"
"Nah, you first then me," he stepped back from the bones.
"Come on macho man, show me how brave you are." Miranda smirked. "What do you think? It's going to bite your head off?" she counter dared.
"No!" He paused looking at her, then at the animal. "Okay, fine."
Climbing up on the ledge, Aaron stuck his head in the skeletal mouth and held it in there. Miranda suddenly growled and grabbed his sides, scaring the living daylights out of him. She was laughing hysterically as she ran away.
"Get back here, you are so dead!" Aaron yelled before chasing after her.

"Do you see them?" Nick asked as Nikki looked around the Hall of Mummies.
"No, damn! I thought for sure Miranda would come in here!" Exasperated, he ran his hand through his hair, sheepishly pulling a twig out.
"Well, she's not." Nick said sarcastically. "Let's try my hunch this time." With that, he headed off in the opposite direction, not bothering to see if Nikki was following.

"Well, are they in here?" Nikki asked Nick as they walked the aisles of the dinosaur exhibit.
Sensing her condescending tone, Nick growled at the girl. "No! Where else could they be? We've been up and down this whole building." Turning, he pointed in frustration. "This wouldn't have happened if your obsessed little friend hadn't kidnapped him."
"My obsessed little friend?" she balked, incredulous. "How dare you! You don't know Miranda or me, so you have no right to pass judgement on either one of us." Nikki's hands were on her hips as she glared at the boy in front of her. "And this wouldn't have happened if you had kept that little ball of energy you call a brother with you. How irresponsible could you be?"
"Don't try to turn this around on me, Nikki!" Nick yelled before he noticed the people who were starting to stare.
"Look, let's not do this now. We still have two kids to find. Now come on."
Nikki tried to calm down as the boy grabbed her hand before running off.
