TEXT TRICKS

If you've found what I've been saying this whole time a bit confusing, you should be okay through this one. I'll just show you how to do some simple text tricks by showing you the text trick and putting the code for it below it. By the way, your text, links, everything, goes between where it has the basefont size (which could be 1 to 7, 7 being biggest) and the body tags. Body tags look like..

<body bgcolor="#000000" text="#FFFFFF" link="#00FF00" alink="#FFFF00" vlink="#666666"> </body>
Except they're not that close together unless you have nothing on your page! Heh. That was the coding I used for this very page and the others like it.

Now that we've discussed where to put the text and all those other goodies, let's talk about the text tricks for God's sake! Heh. Umm.. yeah..

Before I forget the most basic, necessary "trick" of them all, lemme tell ya, if you want spaces in your pages. I don't mean actual space between words, I mean more like between paragraphs. One of them would bring you down one space, like how my text is usually one space down from my pictures, and 2 would bring it down two spaces, etc. etc. etc.

<br><br> (That would take you down two lines.)

I changed the font color to pink with this code..
<font color="pink">(Insert your own message here)</font> I'm scrolling marquee! Nice to meet ya!
<marquee>Put your text here</marquee>

I'm scrolling marquee too!
<marquee behavior="alternate">Insert text here</marquee>

Use boldness to emphasize certain words/phrases..
<b>bold text here</b>

Underline text for the same reason!
<u>underlined text here</u>

Italicize text too!
<i>italicized text here</u>

Or cross something out
<s>crossed out text here</s>

Make parts of your text go down a bit.
 Down, text, down!

Make parts of your text go up a bit.
 What's up?

And even though this isn't really text, I figured this little trick belonged here.
<hr color="magenta"> Note: Without the color specified, it's just <hr>, which would be grey

You can center your text too.

<center>centered text here</center>

And last but not least, the special code I've been using to make the coding show to visitors is
<xmp> and to end the code-showing, do (/xmp), with the parenthesis replaced by <these>

Now how to add PICTURES!
