RODNEY HICKS (Ghost of Christmas) made his Broadway debut as one of the original cast members of the landmark musical, Rent, written by the late Jonathan Larson and directed by Michael Greif. He originated the roles of Paul and Others and played the role of Benny on many occasions. His most recent television credits include the acclaimed role of bad boy Delray Williams, acting opposite multi-Emmy Award winner Dennis Franz and TV veteran Rick Shroeder on last season’s "NYPD Blue," directed by two time Emmy Award winner Paris Barclay. Also, the Touchstone Television/Imagine Entertainment pilot, "Student Affairs," in which he played P. Funk. Other television credits include roles on "Nick Freno" (the WB), "One Life To Live" (ABC) and co-host of "Dance Party U.S.A." (USA). He will be starring as the title character in the upcoming feature films django, directed by Harry Maxon, and the ensemble drama Bad Decisions, directed by Alex B. Wright. Mr. Hicks will be back on Broadway this season at Ford’s Center for the Performing Arts playing Peter in the new revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, which opens on Easter. Other theatre credits - Off-Broadway: October Fest/One Acts (Ensemble Studio Theatre), Rent (New York Theatre Workshop, Obie Award); Bring in the Morning co-starring Lauryn Hill (The Apollo Theatre); Lotto (Lincoln Center Theatre).
