Sati by Christopher Pike

This is so different from all the other novels I usually come across. God comes to Earth to tell us to be good. It seems so simple. Yet it's so original

Secret Of The Wolf by Susan Krinard

A very good paranormal romance. It has no annoying "big misunderstanding" and the characters are actually likeable.

Once A Wolf by Susan Krinard

Also a good paranormal romance. It's a western too. I liked it, though I usually dislike characters like these, you know, ice princess abducted by tortured hero. Yet, they were likeable. And the secondary characters were fascinating.

The Mists Of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

It's not worth all the time it took to read(3 days and that's saying something 'cuz I read very quickly). I liked the TNT movie so I read the book because eevryone knows the book's always better. Unfortunately this was the exception. It's basically a long, drawn-out Jerry Springer episode. I expected literary greatness. I got trash.

Much Ado About Love by Malia Martin

I loved Malia Martin's previous historical romance novels, Her Norman Conqueror and The Duke's Return. This one sounded so interesting. Elizabeth I's daughter who's pen name is William Shakespeare is spared by the soldier sent to kill her. I almost bought it before I read it. I'm glad I didn't. It sucks. I hate the hero. He's the kind I hate reading about but authors love to write about. The star is only because of the interesting premise.

Rose by V.C. Andrews

These books written by a ghost writer using the late V C Andrew's name are getting worse and worse. You know one of those programs thats allows you to type in a few words then spits out a formula story? This is one of those. I can't believe they actually got this published. It is so bad. The writer seemingly simply picked out a few tried-and-true V C Andrews' plots and whipped it into a novella while watching a Lifetime movie. It's that bad.

Foley Is Good by Mick Foley

This was a good book. Entertaining. Definitely worth reading, even if you're not a wrestling fan.

Fearless by Francine Pascal

Entertaining. If you've ever wished for a superhero who wouldn't bother to save somebody who was really nasty to her, then this novel is for you. It's the first and only book in the Fearless series I've read. Original.

The Duke's Return by Malia Martin

I liked that the heroine was older than the hero. And I really liked the hero, Trevor. He was funny and sexy.

Restoring The Goddess: Equal Rites For Women by Barbara G. Walker

I can't really rate this book. I agree with her criticisms of the current major organized religions, but her attempt to offer "thealogy" as an alternate choice was disatifying. Also citing the exact sources of the quotations she attacked would have strenghted her case. I was raised Anglican Christian and I can't remember certain things she mentioned about the Bible. This undermined her credibilty. If you want to read a passionate attack on the role religion has played in keeping women "in their place" then this is your book.

Virtue by Jane Feather

How dare the author/publishers call this thing a romance novel! The term romance novels implies love between the main characters. And, in this book, the villains had a better relationship than the star couple. The "hero" was a domineering control freak. Luckily, the heroine wasn't easily bullied. See, she had her own reasons for even marrying him. The heroine and her brother's lifestyle is interesting to read about, as is their quest for revenge. But there's no romance in this novel.

The Invisible Ring by Anne Bishop

So engrossing! And the world it's set in is well written and fascinating, a must for fantasy novels. A little brutal and dark. It may be sickening if you don't like reading about that kind of thing. If you're into fantasy series, you'll feel the need to immediately get her other books. The only bad thing I can say about it is, it is a little predictable.
