Lab Reports

 Test tubes

All students are expected to complete 1200 minutes of lab practical for the year.
All labs MUST be submitted on the due date.
If the lab is submitted on time and is well completed it will gain 10 points.
If it is just satisfactory, it will receive 7 points.
If it is ONE day late, it will receive 5 points.
Any labs received after the due date will be given a Zero.

Labs will be due ONE week after the lab has been STARTED in class.

Any student who has a lab missing at the end of a quarter will LOSE one point from their quarterly grade for each missing lab.

Grade Determination

Each assignment is worth a certain number of points.

· At the end of the quarter, these are added together as the total number of possible class points.

· The points that the student earns on these assignments are added together as student points.

· In order to determine the grade, the class total points are divided into the student points.

· The resulting percentage is the student's grade.

For example:

if the student's points = 300

and the total possible class points = 600

then…

300/600 =.50 or 50%
