little one, you were
The first
time I saw your face,
A wonderful
gift from God was here
And in my
heart you held a special place.
The love I
had for you grew more each day
A love greater
than I had ever known,
What a joy
I had watching you play
And to hear
your sweet voice on the phone.
The way you
touched so many lives
In your own
little special way,
You left a
mark on all who survives
One that will
never go away.
Your shining
hair of white cotton
And eyes that
always smiled,
How could
one not spoil you rotten
You were such
a loved child.
Your memories
will see me through
When tears
I cannot hide,
You gave me
strength, my little boy
I call it
granny’s pride.
Now I know
you have left this world
And you will
be forever in my heart,
Your leaving
has left my life in a swirl
Someday we
will meet, never again to part.
You are on
your way to heaven now
And though
our tears still fall,
We will forever
have your love
Please know
you are missed by all.
This angel
filled my life with dreams
He gave me
so much love and joy,
My heart is
crushed, it seems
He was such
a special little boy.
And those of
you who loved him too
Remember you
are not alone
Just look
up at the sky so blue
And know our
angel is home.
So I say good-bye
to my little boy
And ask the
Lord to keep him by his side,
The memories
I will always enjoy
