Like with just about anything, there must be a few rules...
#1: Be nice. No explanation really needed, just be nice.
#2: You may have two characters per lodging house, five in the whole union. This refers to female characters so technically, you can have two girl newsies and two guy newsies characters in one house. So at most you can have ten characters. However, we don't reccomend this because keeping up with all that would be rather difficult.
#3: No excessive and unnesisary profanity (in stories, on the websites, etc.)
#4: If you're going to suddenly decide a newsie (i.e. Jack, Mush, etc.) is your long-lost brother or something, at least talk to whomever has "claimed" him first either by family relations or by relationship or whoever "is" that newsie as their character. Check the master list if you need their email.
#5: After joining a Lodging House, you have three months to post your first story.
#6: Keep things realistic in your stories and such.
#7: And try to be original... in other words don't steal a plot or a story from someone else.
#8: Respect your leaders. They go through a lot for these lodging houses ;-)
