Meeting was called to order promptly at 1:00 p.m. by President Michael Daly with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence for our deceased members.
The minutes were read for the March meeting, and a motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes. The minutes were approved by membership.
Michael asked that two letters be read, one to Charles Bedeard and a second to Melinda Dobrins, thanking them for their presenations at the February and March meetings.
Rose Tysz gave the financial report for March 2007, a motion was made accept the report. Motion seconded and the report was approved by the membership.
Ann Bedard asked that members remember to bring in items to our next meeting for the raffle to be held at our June luncheon. The next informal luncheon meeting will be held at Uncle Joe’s restaurant. Carol Kirschner requested that we travel a little further for the luncheon meetings in the future.
Joan O’Grady introduced Peggy Loucks as a new member in attendance. Peggy will be assisting Joan with the Belmont trip planned for September. Joan reminded members that we will be including advertising on our News from Home page sent out to members, the cost will be $15 for the Xeroxing of business cards on the back of the News from Home.
Our guest speakers for the meeting were the Superintendent of Schools, Roberta Gerold and Herbert Chessler, Assistant Superintended for Business. The upcoming school budget was presented to membership. A question and answer session followed.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
