January 12, 2004

I would like to take this time to thank everyone who helped make the January 10th NYWC show a success. A lot of work and preperation went into the Psycho Circus match that had me and Mikey Whipwreck despise going to the community center lol.
For those who dont know A few of us actually helped build our own abuse so to speak. Me Mikey and Wayne built the damn Jack in the Box, and us, Ref Jackson and my brother built the damn steel cage. So to be completely honest, I hated the whole concept of the match until the day of the show, when i saw the whole set-up in its entirety.

I was very sick before the show. I dont know if it was nerves or the pizza I ate before the show, but I didnt feel good at all. On top of which I was scared to death of jumping from the cage, (something I wanted so bad to do). I knew I had to go all out. So I promised myself I wouldn't back out on anything. So in my infinite wisdom, I took the barbed wire, the cane shots, the cage, the chairs, the trash cans, and whatever else we found. Besides a few welts and 1 or 2 puncture wounds on my ass from the Barbed Wire, I was realitively ok... Then the dive came into effect.

I saw all of NHN battling outside with my team. I set up the table, originally to put mason through it. When I realized i wasnt getting his big ass through it, I went for it. 15ft may not look like too much, But when youre standing on top of it, its quite a fall, AND IVE BEEN SKYDIVING! I was more scared to jump off the cage then to jump out of a plane. So I did it. It went by so fast i didnt realize I was on the ground when i hit. Then the pain set in. The lower half of my body, (my ass) hit hard. I felt numbness in my feet and toes. I guess its called a stinger. After about 30 seconds feeling came back and i was ready to go.

When I did the Irish Car Bomb, the crowd reaction caught me completely off guard. I never expected anything remotely close to that. But I appreciate it.
Its now Monday, and I still feel horrible. But I feel great. Thank you to everyone once again. And ill see you all on the 28th.

"Everyone's Favorite Wrestler" and the 3 time NYWC Lightweight Champion, Dan Barry
